Can the Oilers put out the Flames?

Game 41:  Edmonton Oilers at Calgary Flames - December 39th, 2009 - 7:00 PM MT - Sportsnet West

For the Flames, they're hosting the Oilers at the Saddledome following a two-game win streak including a win vs. the LA Kings last night along with a recent win vs. the Oilers.  The Calgary Flames run by the Sutter family have given up just one point in the previous four games that these two teams have played this season.  If you're curious, here's a recap of this season's misery:

Though losses to our neighbors to the south happen quite often, it doesn't make them an easier pill to swallow.  With the year 2009 coming to a close, can the Oilers douse the Flames just one time?

Calgary's Saddledome

The old Battle of Alberta's basically as one-sided lately as a two-headed coin.  Flip the coin and call heads if you think that the Flames will win and you're pretty much calling it.  As hard as it might be to be-leaf, the Oilers actually won a hockey game last night.  Sure it was against the Leafs, but beggars can't be choosers.  Okay, so what if Toskala's save percentage only looks good if you compare it to Devan Dubnyk's.  A win's a win...  Tonight, the Oilers are playing for nothing more than pride against their southern nemesis.

Hey Sportsjuice, I'd take that score for sure. It would be nice to beat the Flames for a change. They need the points more than we do, but getting swept with five straight losses would suck.
