On Monday of this week, the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Florida Panthers (3-2) with a shootout win. Robert Nilsson scored along with Shawn Horcoff during the shoot-out itself. Robert Nilsson's had 1 goal, 3 assists, 4 points, and he's +5 over the past four games since he returned to play.
In the dying seconds of the second period, Shawn Horcoff made a suicide pass to Nilsson. Bryan Allen of the Panthers had Nilsson lined up for a huge hit. Nilsson managed to slip the check which was a relief as it was only his third game back from a concussion injury.
Instead, Bryan Allen collided with his own teammate, Gregory Campbell. From the YouTube (after the jump), it looked like Campbell was knocked out cold. Hockey's a dangerous sport, but it's always hard to watch a player even from the opposing team take one right on the button like this for a serious KO.
