The Edmonton Oilers (8-10-2) play the Columbus Blue Jackets (10-6-2) at the Nationwide arena tonight. During their first matchup, the Oilers won with by a margin of 6-4 after rallying back from a two goal deficit. Since then, the Oilers have struggled to try and win some hockey games. During their past ten games, the Oilers have gone just 2-7-1 with a recent three game losing streak. In contrast, the Columbus Blue Jackets have managed a respectable 5-3-2 record. Oilers vs. Blue Jackets - Pregame Information ***Today, Dan Tencer, reports via Twitter that Sam Gagner will likely be out of the lineup today due to a lower body injury. Sam Ganger apparently incurred an injury while blocking a shot in the recent game vs. the Atlanta Thrashers. Tencer continued that the Oilers might dress Robert Nilsson or simply dress 7 defensemen which would likely result in Jason Strudwick playing on the 4rth line wing.  The Columbus Blue Jackets have some recent injuries of their own to cope with--From TSN Ice Chips: Winger Raffi Torres won't play against his former team this evening. He could take rookie Nikita Filatov's spot in the lineup. Sammy Pahlsson is still having fluid drained off his elbow and is not likely to play.
