Steve Yzerman has until December 31st, 2009 to make his final decision regarding the 23-man roster for Team Canada's 2010 Olympic hockey team.  Recently, I had taken a brief look at the list of forward skaters invited to Team Canada's hockey camp relative to their boxcar statistics from this season:  Team Canada Forward Roster evaluation.

Oilers recall Arsene

According the the Edmonton Oilers website, they've recalled defenseman Dean Arsene from their AHL affiliate, The Springfield Falcons.  For the 29 year-old Dean Arsene, this will be his first opportunity to play in the NHL. Dean is listed as 6'2" and 200 lbs.  What's interesting is that the Oilers did not recall defenseman Theo Peckham and instead chose Arsene.  Secondly, this recent news suggests that Sheldon Souray might not be ready to play during Sunday's game vs. Atlanta.

During the third period of the Oilers recent game in Buffalo, Liam Reddox was hit from behind by Clarke MacArthur.  Reddox was down on the ice for a prolonged period before getting up.  In addition to a possible concussion, Reddox also might have an injury to his wrist resulting from the hit.
